PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a detergent composition excellent in foamability and rinsing property and high in sebum washability.SOLUTION: There is provided a detergent composition containing alkyl ether carbonic acid represented by the following general formula (1) R-O-(CHCHO)-CH-COOM (1), where Rrepresents a linear alkyl group having 10 to 16 carbon atoms, n represents the number of 0 to 20, M represents a hydrogen atom, an alkali metal, an alkali earth metal, ammonium or organic ammonium, or a salt thereof, where Rcontains 2 or more kinds of linear alkyl groups, average carbon number of Ris 10.8 to 12.5, a component of n=0 is contained 8 to 17 mass%, a component of n=1 and a component of n=2 are contained 31 to 38 mass% as total and a component of n≥6 is contained 10 to 25 mass% or a salt thereof and having pH measured at 25°C after diluting the detergent composition to 20 times with an ion exchange water of 5 to 10.5.SELECTED DRAWING: None【課題】起泡性及びすすぎ性に優れ、皮脂洗浄性の高い洗浄剤組成物を提供する。【解決手段】次の一般式（１） Ｒ1－Ｏ－(ＣＨ2ＣＨ2Ｏ)n－ＣＨ2－ＣＯＯＭ （１）（式中、Ｒ1は炭素数１０～１６の直鎖アルキル基を示し、ｎは０～２０の数を示し、Ｍは水素原子、アルカリ金属、アルカリ土類金属、アンモニウム又は有機アンモニウムを示す）で表されるアルキルエーテルカルボン酸又はその塩であって、Ｒ1は２種以上の直鎖アルキル基を含み、Ｒ1の平均炭素数が１０．８～１２．５であり、ｎ＝０の成分を８～１７質量％、ｎ＝１の成分とｎ＝２の成分を合計で３１～３８質量％、ｎ≧６の成分を合計で１０～２５質量％含むアルキルエーテルカルボン酸又はその塩を含有する洗浄剤組成物であって、当該洗浄剤組成物をイオン交換水で２０倍に希釈し、２５℃で測定したｐＨが５～１０．５である洗浄剤組成物。【選択図】なし
