A press-type lancet-release mechanism for a lancing device comprises a blocking base, a triggering unit and a release button. The triggering unit has a lancet holding base and a triggering rod. The lancet holding base and the blocking base are mutually latched, and the triggering rod is axially movably inserted in the lancet holding base. The release button is sleeved at the top of the triggering rod to downwardly push the triggering rod. Thus, the interconnection of the blocking base with the lancet holding base enables the lancet to be released from the lancet holding base by the triggering rod when the lancet holding base is held still, so as to complete the lancet-release operation and reduce the risk of users getting pierced by the lancet.
