PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new ophthalmic composition excellent in preservation effectiveness (preserving power) even without containing a cationic preservative such as benzalkonium chloride, chlorhexidin gluconate, etc., and having a low eye irritation.SOLUTION: This ophthalmic composition contains a buffering agent, and having 3.5 to 3.9 pH and &le18 mL Q value expressed by the following formula.
