PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a food composition capable of suppressing mental stress accumulation associated with life modernization or the like.
SOLUTION: The food composition contains, as active ingredient, extract of Coix lachryma-jobi L. which is vinegered and roasted. This food composition can newly impart a pain-stopping effect or the like to muscular tension relaxation function of Coix lachryma-jobi L. owing to vinegaring and roasting, thus improving both the functions of vinegar and Coix lachryma-jobi L., which have been low in use efficiency due to irritation of vinegar and indigestibility of Coix lachryma-jobi L., owing to mutual covering effect between these two materials, unlike the case with common mix of vinegar and Coix lachryma-jobi L.
