ABSTRACT - 592437 Disclosed herein is a dosage form comprising: at least one form of tapentadol, at least one opioid antagonist, and a second analgesic, wherein the said opioid antagonist improves the efficacy and or reduces the side effects of tapentadol, and wherein said opioid antagonist is selected from the group consisting of naloxone, naltrexone, nalmefene, methylnaltrexone, nalide, nalmexone, nalorphine, naluphine, haloperidol, promethazine, fluphenazine, perphenazine, levomepromazine, thioridazine, perazine, chlorpromazine, chlorprothixine, zuclopentixol, flupentixol, prothipendyl, zotepine, benperidol, pipamperone, melperone and bromperidol.
