The present invention relates to a composition for regulating growth or reinforcing skin immunity of skin bacteria flora containing Terminalia chebula extract and Artemisia extract as active ingredients. More specifically, growth of skin beneficial bacteria is improved by selective antibacterial activities for skin bacteria flora, and growth of skin harmful bacteria is inhibited. An expression amount of β-defensin of skin cells is increased. Thus, skin immunity is reinforced. When the composition according to the present invention is used, growth of lactic acid bacteria beneficial to skin according to selective antibacterial activities is improved, and growth of staphylococcus, Propionibacterium acnes, and Candida albicans is inhibited. Thus, a growth balance of skin bacteria flora is made, and expression of β-defensin which is a skin immunomaterial is improved. Thus, skin immunity is reinforced.본 발명은 가자 추출물 및 애엽 추출물을 유효성분으로 함유하는 피부세균총의 생장 조절 또는 피부 면역 강화용 조성물에 관한 것으로, 보다 구체적으로는 피부세균총에 대한 선택적 항균 활성으로 피부 유익균의 생장은 증가시키고, 피부 유해균의 생장은 억제시키는 효능을 가지면서, 피부 세포의 β-디펜신의 발현량을 증가시킴으로써 피부 면역을 강화하는 효능을 가지는 가자 추출물 및 애엽 추출물을 유효성분으로 함유하는 조성물에 관한 것이다. 본 발명에 따른 가자 추출물 및 애엽 추출물을 유효성분으로 함유하는 조성물을 이용할 경우, 선택적 항균 활성에 따른 피부에 유익한 유산균의 생장은 증가시키고, 피부에 유해한 포도상구균, 여드름간균 및 칸디다 알비칸스의 생장은 저해함으로써 피부세균총의 생장 균형을 맞추면서, 피부 면역 물질인 β-디펜신의 발현을 증가시킴으로써 피부 면역을 강화하는 효과가 있다.
