PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic probe of which the direction can be simply confirmed.SOLUTION: The ultrasonic probe 12 includes a vibrator array 40 composed of a plurality of vibration elements for transmitting and receiving ultrasonic waves, a vibrator case 48 housing the vibrator array 40 and the light emitter 50 provided in the vibrator case 48. The light emitter 50 emits light in the direction almost parallel to the ultrasonic wave transmitting direction in the vibrator case 48 to irradiate a part of the vibrator case 48.
