PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a holder of an animal being measured by which an inhalation anesthetic agent can be administered to the animal being measured when it is measured.

SOLUTION: A test body 18 is contained in a test body holder 64 and its head is contained in an anesthetic cavity 82 in this state. The inhalation anesthetic agent is inhaled into the anesthetic cavity 82 through an inlet 84. Further, the concentration of the inhalation anesthetic agent circulating in the anesthetic cavity 82 is maintained at a predetermined value by ejecting the air respired and discharged by the test body 18 from the anesthetic cavity 82 through an outlet 86 and a pipe 94. In this manner, the inhalation anesthetic agent is inhaled from the respiratory organs of the test body 18 which is held by the test body holder 64 and is measured by circulating the inhalation anesthetic agent in the anesthetic cavity 82 in which the head of the test body 18 is contained. Consequently, the inhalation anesthetic agent can be administered to the test body 18 being measured when it is measured.
