An object of the present invention is to provide an external preparation for treatment of onychomycosis comprising an imidazole antifungal agent as a main drug, which is excellent in solubility of the main drug and nail permeability of the main drug. The external preparation for treating onychomycosis of the present invention is characterized by containing an imidazole antifungal agent, lactic acid, tartaric acid, lauromacrogol, and 20% by weight or more of water. In particular, the external preparation preferably contains 5 to 25% by weight of lactic acid, 0.5 to 5% by weight of tartaric acid, 3 to 25% by weight of lauromacrogol, and 20 to 35% by weight of water. Moreover, it is preferable that the said external preparation contains a lanoconazole and / or luliconazole as the said imidazole series antifungal agent.本発明は、イミダゾール系抗真菌薬を主薬として含む爪白癬治療用外用剤であって、主薬の溶解性および主薬の爪透過性に優れる製剤を提供することを課題とする。 本発明の爪白癬治療用外用剤は、イミダゾール系抗真菌薬、乳酸、酒石酸、ラウロマクロゴール、および、20重量%以上の水を含むことを特徴とする。前記外用剤は、特に、乳酸を5～25重量%、酒石酸を0.5～5重量%、ラウロマクロゴールを3～25重量%、および、水を20～35重量%の量で含むことが好ましい。また、前記外用剤は、前記イミダゾール系抗真菌薬として、ラノコナゾール及び／又はルリコナゾールを含むことが好ましい。
