The jugular catheter (1) comprises: a flexible, axially hollow shaft (4) having a proximal end (1A) and an opposite distal end (1B)； a support element (2), which is fixedly associated with said proximal end (1A), has a passage substantially coaxial with said shaft (4) and can have a positioning needle (5) extending therethrough, said shaft having both a calibrated length (L1) ranging from 5.5 cm to 10 cm and an outside diameter ranging from 12 Gauge to 18 Gauge.
