PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pants type absorbent article presenting a simple appearance like cloth underwear.

SOLUTION: By folding back an outer layer sheet 31 to the side of a surface facing the skin at the end edge T of an opening area around a leg and bonding a folded-back part 31 and the outer layer sheet 31 facing it at a linear bonding part 42, a sleeve part 43 extending around the leg is formed. Inside the sleeve part 43, an elastic and flexible leg band 44 extending around the leg is disposed such that its one surface is turned to the side of the surface facing the skin and the other surface is directed outward. The leg band 44 is bonded with the inner surface of the sleeve part 43 on the side of the surface facing the skin and is not bonded with the inner surface of the sleeve part on the outer surface side. As the outer layer sheet 31, a sheet which is flexible at least in the direction around the leg is used.
