The present invention relates to an afforesting material having an erosion preventing function and a method for afforesting a natural ground by using the same, wherein the afforesting material is fitted to a natural ground such as a slope surface and a river shore to afforest the natural ground. More specifically, the same is mixed with a base material including soil, an erosion preventing agent including celluloses and shives, and water. Based on 100 parts by weight of the base material, 0.3-0.8 parts by weight of the cellulose and 0.06-0.12 parts by weight of the shives are mixed. The shives have hydrophilic properties, thereby effectively afforesting a natural ground such as a river shore without using a net or a wire mesh.본 발명은 경사면, 하천 호안 등의 원지반에 취부되어 원지반을 녹화하는 녹화재 및 이를 이용한 녹화방법에 대한 것으로, 더욱 상세하게는 토양을 포함하는 기반재와 셀룰로오스와 결속섬유를 포함하는 침식방지제와 물이 혼합되어 형성되며 상기 셀룰로오스는 기반재 100중량부에 대하여 0.3~0.8중량부가 혼합되고 상기 결속섬유는 0.06 내지 0.12중량부가 혼합되며 상기 결속섬유는 친수성을 가져, 네트, 철망 등을 사용하지 않고서도 하천 호안 등의 원지반을 효과적으로 녹화할 수 있는 침식방지기능을 가지는 녹화재 및 이를 이용한 원지반 녹화방법에 대한 것이다.
