PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent body in which fitting feeling to the skin is improved by enhancing the flexibility of the absorbent body, and a liquid can move to a high basis weight portion by improving diffusability of the liquid in a low basis weight portion.SOLUTION: There is provided the absorbent body in which a second basis weight portion 12 having a basis weight lower than a first basis weight portion 11 is provided between adjacent first basis weight portions 11, the second basis weight portion 12 surrounds the first basis weight portion 11 and is disposed to extend in at least two directions, a crossing region 13 where the respective second basis weight portions 12 cross a crossing wide portion 15 satisfying a condition that a largest-diameter circle Cmax not including the first basis weight portion 11 adjacent to the crossing region 13 and contacting at least the two first basis weight portions 11 is larger than a smallest-diameter circle Cmin including a crossing region 14 estimated by expanding each side defining the smallest width of each of the second basis weight portion 12 in the direction of the crossing region 13, and a smallest width P is the smallest width of the second basis weight portion 12 extending from the crossing region 13, and it is an average of the smallest widths on both sides of the crossing region 13 if the second basis weight region 12 extends at different widths in both directions with the crossing region 13 sandwiched.
