Described here are devices, systems, kits, and methods for positioning a suction catheter in the airway of a patient. The kit includes a suction catheter a suction connector configured to attach or releasably attach to the suction catheter, and a delivery' device configured to deliver the suction catheter along an endotracheal tube to a suction location. After positioning the tip of the suction catheter at the suction location, the delivery device is removed and the suction connector is attached to the catheter.
