An object of the present invention is to provide an antiviral agent which exhibits high antiviral activity even under irradiation with visible light and is capable of detoxifying a virus. The antiviral agent according to the present application is composed of a dispersion containing noble metals and photocatalyst particles as supported by the noble metals, the dispersion containing 0.01 part by mass to 1 part by mass of noble metal atoms based on 100 parts by mass of photocatalyst particles.본 발명의 목적은 가시광 조사하에서도 높은 항바이러스성을 나타내어 바이러스를 무해화할 수 있는 항바이러스제를 제공하는 것이다. 본 출원에 따른 항바이러스제는, 귀금속 및 상기 귀금속에 의해 담지된 광촉매 입자를 함유하는 분산액으로서, 광촉매 입자 100 질량부에 대해 귀금속 원자를 0.01 질량부 내지 1 질량부 함유하는 분산액으로 구성된다.
