PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a balloon catheter having sufficient plasticity and strength for performing medical treatment and having excellent shape restoration properties.SOLUTION: A balloon 120 of the balloon catheter includes a shape-memory layer 121, the glass-transition temperature of which is lower than a body temperature, and base material layer 122 having strength higher than that of the shape-memory layer 121. The balloon includes a shape-memory layer 121, the glass-transition temperature of which is lower than the body temperature, so as to dispense with high-temperature shaping. This configuration can prevent the lowering of the plasticity and strength of the base material layer 122 and, by the effect of the shape-memory layer 121, enlarge force returning to an original folded shape in the blood vessel, the temperature of which is equal to or more than the glass-transition temperature.COPYRIGHT: (C)2016,JPO&INPIT【課題】治療を行うのに十分な柔軟性及び強度を有し、かつ、形状復元性能の良いバルーンカテーテルを提供すること。【解決手段】バルーンカテーテルのバルーン120は、バルーンカテーテルのバルーン120を、ガラス転移温度が体温以下である形状記憶層121と、形状記憶層121よりも強度の高い基材層122と、を有する。ガラス転移温度が体温以下の形状記憶層121を有することにより、高温での形状付けが必要ないので基材層122の柔軟性及び強度を低下させずに済む上に、形状記憶層121の効果により、ガラス転移温度以上の温度である血管内で元の折り畳み形状に戻る力が大きくなる。【選択図】図2
