PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fastening tape for a tape type diaper which effectively prevents the engagement of a hook material of a mechanical fastener with a base material of the fastening tape.
SOLUTION: The fastening tape for fastening a front body part 2 and a back body part 6 of the diaper comprises the base material 48 made of a fabric and the hook material 44a of the mechanical fastener provided on the surface of the base material 48. In the fastening tape 10, a part (a tab part 50), which is closer to the side of the end of the tape rather than the hook material 44a, has a non-engaging part 52 which does not engage the hook material 44a on the surface of the base material 48, and the non-engagement part 52 is formed in a region including at least the end of the tab part 50 of the surface of the base material 48.
