In the present invention, provided are an ultrasonic imaging apparatus, and a control method thereof which can variously control an ultrasound image and can improve user convenience by adjusting a touch screen or a display output by an ultrasound imaging apparatus in accordance with a touch pressure or a touch time of a user. According to one aspect of the present invention, the ultrasonic imaging apparatus comprises: a probe for irradiating an ultrasound signal to an object to receive the reflected ultrasound signal a processor for generating an ultrasound image on the basis of the ultrasound signal received by the probe and a touch screen for outputting the ultrasound image generated by the processor, and receiving a touch and a touch pressure of a user.
