PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To develop a technique for preventing growth of multipotential stem cells in an undifferentiated state inside a body of a patient when differentiating a desired cell type from the multipotential stem cells and then transplanting it inside the body of the patient, without the risk of causing a mutation in the multipotential stem cells.SOLUTION: A composition for suppressing growth of pluripotent stem cells is provided. The composition for suppressing the growth of the pluripotent stem cells contains proteins of p16 and p53 or the like. The pluripotent stem cells containing polynucleotide capable of deriving the appearance of the proteins of p16 and p53 are provided.
