PURPOSE: A blood pressure decreasing composition containing a ginsenoside-enriched fraction is provided to enable users to orally intake the composition for decreasing blood pressure. CONSTITUTION: A blood pressure decreasing composition contains ginsenoside-enriched fractions obtained by the following steps: extracting dried ginseng root hair with alcohol； heating and concentrating the obtained ginseng extract； diluting the concentrate with distilled water, and passing the mixture through a polymeric adsorbent for absorbing saponin； removing un-absorbed components using the distilled water, and passing 20v/v% alcohol through the mixture for removing non-saponin components； eluting the mixture to the concentration of 30-40v/v% alcohol to obtain ginsenoside Rg 1 and Rb1-enriched fractions.본 발명은 인삼 진세노사이드 Rg1 및 Rb1 강화 분획물을 포함하는 혈압 강하용 조성물에 관한 것이다. 본 발명에 따른 조성물은 산화질소 합성 효소 활성화를 통해 산화질소 생성을 증가시켜 혈관 이완작용을 통해 뛰어난 혈압 강하 효과가 있으므로 고혈압 및 고혈압의 합병증으로 인한 각종 심혈관계 질환의 예방 및 치료를 위한 건강기능식품 조성물로 유용하게 사용될 수 있다.
