To provide a biological information measuring instrument without receiving the influence of noise light by shielding the noise light to be made incident from a gap between the instrument and a living body when measuring information of the living body by using the reflection of light.
SOLUTION: The biological information measuring instrument 10 is the measuring instrument which is mounted ON the living body so as to measure the information concerning the living body, and includes a biological information measuring means 42 for irradiating the living body with irradiation light and measuring the information concerning the living body and based ON the reflection light to be reflected in an irradiation region where the front surface of the living body is irradiated with the irradiation light a light shielding means 80 for shielding external light to be made incident ON the biological information measuring means 42 from an external part by extending toward the circumference of the irradiation region from a side facing the living body an inspecting means 70 for inspecting the effect of shielding the external light by the light shielding means 80 and a control means 46 for controlling the degree of extension of the light shielding means 80, based ON the result inspected by the inspecting means 70.
