PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nutritional composition which is suitable for supplying a large amount of nutrition elements and a small amount of the nutrition elements, and prevents and/or alleviates the damage of a mucous membrane, particularly, damage resulting from radiotherapy or chemotherapy.SOLUTION: In the nutritional composition containing a protein supply source, a fat supply source and a carbohydrate supply source, and also having an energy content of 1.3kcal per ml, the protein supply source provides 20 to 30% of the energy of the composition, contains 40 to 80 wt.% of casein and 60 to 20 wt.% of whey, contains 0.5 to 20μg of TGF-β per 100kcal of the composition, and contains free glutamine at an amount for providing 2 to 15% of the energy of the composition. It is preferable that the free glutamine provides 5 to 10% of the energy of the nutritional composition.
