Process for producing nursery culture pack - includes steps of surrounding cake of consistent substrata with envelope of material which is resistant to penetration by plant roots and placing plant in window of envelope with leafy end issuing from side
A cake of consistent substrata (2) is surrounded with an envelope (1) of material resistant to penetration by the roots of the plant. The face of the cake is located facing a window (3) in the envelope. A plant (5) is placed on the cake in the middle of the window leaving an end of the leafy part issuing from the side of the envelope. The envelope is closed down about a hinge (X-X), coplanar with a longitudinal direction of the introduction of the plant (5), around the cake. The envelope is assembled by thermowelding or sticking its walls, particularly a flap (4) extending from an edge of the window (3). ADVANTAGE - Separation of all the envelope material at the time of planting favouring regular plant development and avoiding rolling up of the roots.
