The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing powder for blocking near infrared rays, comprising, more specifically, the steps of preparing mesoporous silica； preparing a glaze comprising a fatty acid metal salt, vegetable oil and a solvent； dispersing after adding mesoporous silica to the glaze and then subjected to solid-liquid separation to recover the glaze coated mesoporous silica； and heat treating the recovered mesoporous silica. The powder for blocking near infrared rays prepared by the manufacturing method of the present invention effectively blocks near-infrared rays by causing light absorption and reflection at the wavelength of the near-infrared band, thereby protecting the skin from increased matrix metalloprotease-1 expression and inhibition of procollagen synthesis by near infrared rays.본 발명은 근적외선 차단용 분체 제조방법에 관한 것으로, 더욱 상세하게는 메조포러스 실리카를 준비하는 단계； 지방산 금속염, 식물성 오일 및 용제를 포함하는 유약을 준비하는 단계； 상기 유약에 메조포러스 실리카를 첨가하여 분산시킨 다음 고액분리하여 유약이 코팅된 메조포러스 실리카를 회수하는 단계； 및 상기 회수한 메조포러스 실리카를 열처리하는 단계를 포함하는 근적외선 차단용 분체 제조방법에 관한 것이다. 본 발명의 제조방법으로 제조된 근적외선 차단용 분체는 근적외선대의 파장에서의 광흡수 및 반사를 일으켜 근적외선을 효과적으로 차단함으로써 근적외선에 의한 프로콜라겐 합성 저해 및 매트릭스 메탈로프로테아제-1 발현 증가 등으로부터 피부를 방어할 수 있다.
