605307 Disclosed is a suspension formulation for administration to an animal, the suspension formulation including: at least one cephalosporin antibiotic or a pharmaceutically similar salt thereof an oil and a glycerol acetate solvent characterised in that the glycerol acetate solvent is included in the formulation in the range of 0.05 – 5% w/v. Also disclosed is a PET (polyethylene teraphthate) container comprising the suspension. The suspension is useful in treating or preventing bacterial infections such as bovine bacterial respiratory disease, swine bacterial respiratory disease, foot rot or metritis. Further disclosed is a method for preparing the suspension.
