PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sterilizer for sterilizing an aseptic operation unit, and also to provide a method thereof.
SOLUTION: A sterilization system includes: an aseptic operation unit 1 an air-conditioning unit 10 a gas sterilization unit 20 based on oxidizing sterilization gas and a gas decomposition unit 30 based on reducing decomposed gas. Low-oxygen air with oxygen concentration lower than that of the air is defined as a medium for the reducing decomposed gas. Hydrogen peroxide is defined as a main component in the sterilization gas, and alcohol is defined as a main component in the decomposed gas. The concentration of the alcohol is equal to or less than the lower limit value of an explosion limit.
