PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase prophylactic or therapeutic effect against cardiac diseases such as hypertension and myocardial infarction by using a composition or a preparation containing a curcuma dye composition comprising curcuminoid so as to further enhance the effect of curcuminoid against cardiac diseases.
SOLUTION: The composition or the preparation of a therapeutic or prophylactic agent against cardiac diseases comprises the curcuma dye composition comprising gum ghatti and curcuma dye. The curcuma dye composition is stably dispersed at high concentration in a water-containing solution and is excellent in vivo absorbability. The composition or the preparation can be used against cardiac diseases as a low-dose, highly safe prophylactic or therapeutic agent or functional food.
