PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved technique of labeling processing to an ultrasonic image.

SOLUTION: A binarization processing part 18 sorts respective pixels within the ultrasonic image to be two kinds of pixels of different luminance values to from a binarized image. A temporary labeling processing part within an area extraction process block 20 performs the labeling processing which coordinates a temporary label to a group of pixels being a local lump of two or more pixels sorted to be the same kind. Moreover, a table analysis part within the area extraction process block 20 obtains a true label obtained by integrating two or more temporary labels in a connected state based on a label relation table showing a connecting relation between the two or more temporary labels corresponding to two or more groups of pixels. Thus, the true label corresponding to the aggregate of the two or more pixels in the state of being sorted to be the same kind and connected is obtained.
