PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composition for the hair as a hair cosmetic enabling the hair to be imparted with excellent gloss, moist and smooth touch feeling, and smoothness in its rinsing and using repeatedly, to be prevented from damage, protected from chemical or mechanical treatment, with their effects sustainable for a long time.SOLUTION: This composition for the hair includes a specific reactive silicone-based block copolymer simultaneously meeting the following 4 physical properties: polymerization degree of the siloxane segment (P)=50-1,000, wt.% of the siloxane segment (in terms of Si(CH3)2O) (Q)=70-99, amino % (in terms of NH2) (T)=0.01-5, and average molecular weight (M)=50,000-1,000,000. A 2nd version of this composition is obtained by incorporating the 1st version with a specific polyorganosiloxane-polyoxyalkylene copolymer or specific reactive silicone.
