The present invention relates to a method for preparing an allograft material forming a sterile, lyophilised and virally inactivated membrane obtained from mammalian placenta and consisting of at least one membrane layer, this allograft material being suitable for use as a surgical graft. The at least one membrane layer is defined by an amniotic membrane, a chorionic membrane, a spongy tissue membrane or a chorioamniotic membrane obtained from mammalian placenta. The allograft material obtained according to the method is decellularised, virally inactivated and sterilised, and may be vacuum-stored for a period of up to five years at ambient temperature.La présente invention se rapporte à un procédé de préparation d'un matériau d'allogreffe formant une membrane viro-inactivée, lyophilisée et stérile issue de placenta de mammifère et constituée d'au moins une couche membranaire, ce matériau d'allogreffe étant adapté à servir de greffon en chirurgie. La au moins une couche membranaire est définie par une membrane amniotique, une membrane choriale, une membrane tissulaire spongieuse ou une membrane chorioamniotique issue de placenta de mammifère. Le matériau d'allogreffe obtenu selon le procédé est décellularisé, viro- inactivé et stérilisé, conservable sous vide jusqu'à une durée de cinq ans à température ambiante.
