A method for treating amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) in a subject in need thereof comprising administering to said subject an effective amount of (6R)-2-amino-4,5,6,7- tetrahydro-6-(propylamino)benzothiazole or pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, wherein said subject is a treatment responder. In certain embodiments, said subject is a subject with definite amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, a subject with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis symptom onset duration of less than about 18 months, a subject with a high level of serum creatinine, a subject with concomitant riluzole administration and combinations thereof.La présente invention concerne un procédé de traitement de la sclérose latérale amyotrophique (SLA) chez un patient en ayant besoin consistant à administrer au dit patient une quantité efficace de n (6R)-2-amino-4,5,6,7- tétrahydro-6-(propylamino)benzothiazole ou son sel pharmaceutiquement acceptable, ledit patient répondant au traitement. Dans certains modes de réalisation, ledit patient est un patient présentant une sclérose latérale amyotrophique définie, un patient présentant une durée de déclenchement des symptômes de sclérose latérale amyotrophique inférieure à environ 18 mois, un patient présentant une créatininémie élevée, un patient présentant une administration concomitante de riluzole et leurs associations.
