PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a prefabricated coffin improved in appearance by making the break between a side plate substrate and a side plate falling plate impossible to see, sufficiently ensuring the strength of a coffin corner part (coffin bottom long side part) and facilitating the processing work of the side plate substrate.SOLUTION: The coffin 10 is constituted so that the side plate substrates 12B and a side board substrates 12C are raised in the longer edge side and shorter edge side of a bottom plate 12A. Left and right inwardly directed foldable side plate falling plates 12X are provided outside the side plate substrates 12B, and the side board insertion plates 12Y engageable with the left and right side plate falling plates 12X are provided in the ends of the before and behind of the bottom plate 12A. The pedestal plates 14 having almost the same thickness as the side plate substrates 12B are fixed on the inside surfaces of the side plate falling plates 12X. The hinges 15 are provided between the pedestal plates 14 and the side plate substrates 12B.
