The invention relates to a laryngeal mask airway device to facilitate lung ventilation ina patient, comprising an airway tube extending from a proximal end to a distal endand opening, at the distal end, into the interior of a hollow mask portion shaped tofit readily in use into the actual and potential space behind the larynx and toseal around the circumference of the laryngeal inlet without penetrating intothe interior of the larynx, wherein the device comprises a conduit adapted todirect a liquid substance through the glottic opening. The invention further relatesto a kit comprising the laryngeal mask airway device and a method for using thelaryngeal mask airway device.
