The invention relates to an orthodontic appliance having sliding rods for the treatment of a lower jaw that is offset relative to the upper jaw. A sleeve (7) is inserted between the opposite ends of two rods, each of which is associated with one of the jaws. The second rod (5) is screwed into the sleeve at one end, while the first rod (6) is slidably mounted in said sleeve at the opposite end. The sleeve comprises a means for adjusting the spacing (25, 26), which is capable of adjusting the position of the second rod relative to the sleeve by screwing and unscrewing.Linvention concerne un appareil orthodontique à tiges coulissantes pour le traitement des décalages de la mâchoire inférieure par rapport à la mâchoire supérieure.
