PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonwoven fabric for an absorber having excellent diffusion properties.SOLUTION: The nonwoven fabric is a nonwoven fabric for an absorber comprising cellulosic fibers that are hydrophilic fibers. The nonwoven fabric has an upper surface and a lower surface on the opposite side of the upper surface. The nonwoven fabric has ridge parts and groove parts extending in the longitudinal direction alternately in a width direction on the upper surface. A region A is extending on a lower surface side of the ridge part, a region B is extending on side walls and a top part of an upper surface side of the ridge part, and a region C exists sandwiched between the region A and the region B.
