Method and device for filling small-grain seeds into plant containers which are arranged in rows alongside one another and behind one another on pallets
Method for filling a seed bed, or plant containers arranged alongside one another in columns and behind one another in rows on pallets, with small-grain seeds which have been delivered after separation to an ejector nozzle, characterised in that the seeds are ejected via an ejector nozzle which can be moved both in the transverse direction and in the longitudinal direction over the seed bed or the pallet. In this case either the ejector nozzle can be moved by means of a program-controlled x-y actuator in column steps or row steps both in the transverse direction and the longitudinal direction, respectively, over the seed bed or the pallet, or the ejector nozzle is moved in the transverse direction in steps in each case corresponding to one column spacing and, when the end position, as viewed in the transverse direction, is reached, the pallet is moved in the longitudinal direction by a step corresponding to one row spacing. The device consists of a seed separtion unit which is formed by a vibrator channel and is connected to a seed receptacle (2), and of an ejector nozzle (3), in each of which there is a light barrier emitting an impulse when interrupted by a seed grain falling through, the first controlling the vibrator motor of the seed separation unit and the other controlling at least one of the two servomotors effecting the carriage advance. <IMAGE>
