Abstract The present invention provides a device for hair harvesting and implantation using either electrical means or mechanical means. The distal end of a hand piece of the device can be fitted with a needle for extraction and implantation of hair follicles. In an embodiment, the distal end can be fitted with suction adaptor, a suction motor, a harvesting control switch, and an implantation control switch. In another embodiment, the distal end of the hand piece can be fitted with a gripping feature with a sliding switch. Both the embodiments incorporated with inbuilt camera and lighting system and connected to a display monitor. During harvesting, the needle is pierced on the donor region and then the hair follicles can be sucked either through electrical means or mechanical means. The same device can be used for hair implantation by which the hair follicles can be pushed inside the receptor site.
