The inventionrelates to gels suitable for application to the teeth with a pen-type device,having a viscositywhich permits controlled application and retention on the teeth for asufficient period to allowthe plaque to absorb the dye or other active agent, and further permits thegel to be dispensedeasily and spread evenly on the teeth.
