CONSTITUTION: An antibacterial cosmetic composition contains 0.25-1.0 wt% of Persicaria perfoliata extract as an active ingredient. The composition is used for treating acne. The Persicaria perfoliata extract is an ethyl acetate fraction which is prepared by extracting Persicaria perfoliata with 50% ethanol and removing non-polar ingredients.
