PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic vibrator improving certainty of exchange in a chip attached/detached to/from the ultrasonic vibrator and securing easiness of grasping by a hand and that of work in a hand piece where the ultrasonic vibrator is used.
SOLUTION: The ultrasonic vibrator of an external fastening structure includes: a piezoelectric element unit where a piezoelectric element and an electrode board are laminated and a front member 30 and backing member, which sandwich the piezoelectric element unit. The front member 30 includes a supporting portion 33 which extends outside a radial direction with an axis L of the front member 30 as a center and supports the ultrasonic vibrator so that it can vibrate. The supporting portion 33 includes an end face 33A which crosses a circumferential direction with the axis L as the center to extend. An area of an external part in the radial direction at the end face 33A is larger than an area of an internal part.
