A vial pack configured to attach to a vial containing a drug is provided. Vial packs include various mechanisms to facilitate uniform control of various sized vials in an automated dispenser system. The vial pack mechanism can include a vial recess for receiving a specific size vial and securing the vial within the vial recess. The mechanism can also include a cylindrical central portion, a vertical extension extending from the top of the cylindrical central portion, a gear extending from the cylindrical central portion, and a seal member disposed within the cylindrical central portion. The vial pack can include a cylindrical protrusion configured to press the septum of the vial to form a seal between the vial pack and the vial.
