PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel curly hair straightening composition capable of greatly reducing treatment time and suppressing damage feeling of hair, and a novel method for straightening curly hair using the composition.SOLUTION: The curly hair straightening composition includes: a keratin amino acid with mean molecular weight of 90-200 and cysteines in an amount of 0.5-2 mass% in terms of thioglycolic acid.
