PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transplanting machine for appropriately transplanting liana seedlings such as sweet potato seedlings.SOLUTION: In the seedling transplanter equipped with a seedling conveyor 5 for conveying the seedlings N and a seedling-transplanting body 6 for transplanting the seedlings N conveyed by the seedling conveyor 5 to a field on the machine body having a traveling gear 4, a nipping tool 31 for transplanting is set on the seedling-transplanting body 6 so that the seedling-transplanting body 6 is let to plunge a seedling N nipped up from the seedling conveyor 5 into the soil in the longitudinal direction thereby the seedling is allowed to move backward and the nipping is released. Then, the nipping tool 31 is moved up to leave from the soil.
