An ion generation apparatus includes: an air blower including a motor 2 having output shafts 21 on both sides along a shaft direction and two impellers 3 respectively attached to the output shafts 21 and two ducts 5 through which air sent through rotation of the two impellers 3 is individually allowed to flow in the same direction, for emitting the air outside. A part of whole of each of the ducts 5 is provided in the laminar flow section where a flow of the air is changed into a laminar flow. Since an ion generating section is provided in each of the laminar flow sections, ions generated by the ion generating section can be efficiently involved in the air, so as to increase a concentration of the ions emitted to inside of a room together with the air.이온 발생 장치는, 축방향의 양쪽에 출력축(21, 21)을 갖는 모터(2) 및 출력축(21, 21) 각각에 장착되어 있는 2개의 임펠러(3, 3)를 갖는 송풍기와, 임펠러(3, 3) 각각의 회전에 의해 송출하는 공기를 동일 방향으로 개별로 통류시켜 외부로 방출하는 2개의 덕트(5, 5)를 구비한다. 덕트(5, 5) 각각의 일부 또는 전부는, 상기 공기의 통류가 층류로 되도록 되어 있는 층류부를 설치하고 있다. 층류부 각각에 이온 발생부를 배치함으로써, 이온 발생부가 발생한 이온을, 상기 공기에 효율적으로 포함시킬 수 있어, 공기와 함께 실내로 방출하는 이온의 이온 농도를 높게 할 수 있다.
