LIGHTING UNIT FOR GROWING FARM CROP, LIGHTING SYSTEM FOR GROWING FARM CROP USING THE LIGHTING UNIT, AND METHOD FOR GROWING FARM CROP USING THE UNIT AND THE SYSTEM
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting unit for growing farm crops which enables efficient light supplement by a combination of a light-emitting diode light source and a reflecting plate, to provide a lighting system for growing farm crops using the unit, and to provide a method for growing farm crops using the unit and the system. SOLUTION: The lighting unit for growing farm crops includes the light-emitting diode light source and the reflecting plate at its back, wherein the reflecting plate includes reflecting film made of a resin composition containing a finely-powdered filling agent consisting mainly of aliphatic polyester resin and titanium oxide. Any of a red light-emitting diode, blue light-emitting diode, white light-emitting diode and combinations thereof can be employed as a light-emitting diode, but specifically the combination of the red light-emitting diode and the blue light-emitting diode is preferably employed because the blue light assists growth of the plant to contribute stalk extension and floral bud formation, and the red light promotes photosynthesis.
