To provide a flexible external skeleton suit configured to apply force to a wearer to enable various physical activities of the wearer.SOLUTION: The flexible external skeleton suit includes flexible actuators and clutched compliance elements to apply and/or modulate force and/or compliances between parts of a body of a wearer.
