Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren und eine Vorrichtung zum Zerstäuben wenigstens eines Fluids, insbesondere zur Erzeugung eines therapeutisch wirksamen Aerosols in einem Behandlungsraum, wobei man ein zu zerstäubendes Fluid mit Druck beaufschlagt und mit einer Fließgeschwindigkeit im Bereich von 50 bis 300 m/s durch eine Düse in Form von kleinen Partikeln in den Behandlungsraum ausstößt.
