PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cutting machine capable of properly removing a machining tool from a spindle when automatically exchanging the machining tool, and a method for removing the machining tool.SOLUTION: A control device 50 of a cutting machine 100 includes: a release section 55 which releases gripping of a machining tool 12 by a spindle 30 a determination section 57 which determines that the spindle 30 grips the machining tool 12 when receiving a detection signal which is transmitted by a detection mechanism 70 and has the effect that the machining tool 12 is gripped by the spindle 30 after releasing the gripping of the machining tool 12 by the spindle 30 and a removal control section 60 which reciprocates the spindle 30 in a horizontal direction by a prescribed number of times and a prescribed length in a state that the machining tool 12 gripped by the spindle 30 is stored in a stocker 22 when it is determined that the spindle 30 grips the machining tool 12.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8COPYRIGHT: (C)2017,JPO&INPIT【課題】加工ツールを自動で交換する際、スピンドルから加工ツールを適切に取り外すことが可能である切削加工機、および、加工ツールを取り外す方法を提供する。【解決手段】切削加工機100の制御装置50は、スピンドル30による加工ツール12への把持を解除する解除部55と、スピンドル30による加工ツール12への把持を解除した後、検出機構70によって送信され、かつ、スピンドル30に加工ツール12が把持されているという検出信号を受信したとき、スピンドル30が加工ツール12を把持していると判定する判定部57と、スピンドル30が加工ツール12を把持していると判定されたとき、スピンドル30に把持された加工ツール12をストッカー22に収容させた状態で、スピンドル30を水平方向に、所定の回数分、所定の長さ往復移動させる取り外し制御部60を備えている。【選択図】図8
