The present invention provides a tree root cutting machine, which is composed by assembling a moving device and a knife rotating device on a machine platform. The moving device and the knife rotating device both use the engine on the machine platform as power source, so that the activation of engine operation may be transmitted to a motor for operation, and, by operating the displacement lever and the cutting lever, the rotation wheel at the bottom of the machine platform may be driven for displacement, and a plurality of cutters in the knife device may be cycling. In addition, an indexing plate and an angle positioning rod are configured in the moving device allowing the rotation wheel with different shifting angles.
