The present invention provides compositions for preparing solid lyophilisates of one or more nucleic acid active agents that can be reconstituted into pharmaceuticals. The composition may comprise an aqueous suspension of lipid nanoparticles in a pharmaceutically acceptable solution, wherein the lipid nanoparticles encapsulate at least one nucleic acid active agent, a dextrin compound, and a saccharide compound.
